wait, what?
for the last few days i've had this really annoying rolling stones song stuck in my head. not just popping up once in awhile throughout my day, but more like on repeat all day long. at first it made me laugh...singing inside my head, "tiiiiiimmme is on my side, yes it is..." over and over and over and yes, over. however, lately it's become more like a really cruel joke. time, in fact, is NOT on my side. it doesn't really seem like it's been on my side since laney was born. don't get me wrong, i'm enjoying the new addition to our family and watching her weave her way into the fabric of our family, but geez already! since when did having a new baby mean everything had to change?? oh right, since forever. i guess i forgot a lot of this since it's been 5 years now since we've had a baby in the house. so, mick, please spare me your lame lyrics because it's become very apparent that time is not on my side. not a little. not at all.
